Carrier come the Christian pop/rock band formed within 1987 in Mooloolaba, Australia (although they before long relocated to Nashville, Tennessee). Its core members, John James & Peter Furler, originally hailed from either Australia where they played within the confederate known as A News.

Carrier come widely considered one of a better elastic in the Christian music industry. It will have many hit singles on the Christian popular stock & index charts, and 2 of their albums come considered among CCM's better: Running Public (1994) & Step As much as A Mike (1998). It is maybe better known for their 1995 hit lone, "Shine". The double-disk worship/rock album is scheduled for release around early 2006.

Steve Taylor served as producer for several of their hit albums, & several of his songs for Carrier ("Breakfast", "Take Me To Your Leader") feature Taylor's humor.

In a period of the "Step Up To The Microphone" tour the b& featured a drums in a rotating platform that may tilt downwardly as much as Xc degrees; this feature is however utilized in their tours and has grown to exist as quite popular.

Inside 2003, Jody Davis left a band to care for his vomit girl, Bethany.
